XLPower Stratos 700 High-Performance Helicopter

High-Rigidity Carbon Fiber Frame with Integrated Structure

The completely redesigned chassis of the Stratos 700 provides a solid foundation for maximum flight precision. The upper carbon fiber frame plates have a thickness of 2.5 mm, while the lower frame plates are manufactured from 2 mm carbon fiber.

This construction significantly increases the torsional rigidity and durability of the entire helicopter. At the same time, the carefully engineered integration of the chassis, main shaft bearing blocks and servo mounts creates a compact and extremely rigid structure.

The redesigned main shaft bearing block, together with the integrated servo mounts, forms a highly rigid assembly that ensures precise rotor control even under extreme loads. The evenly distributed 120° servo geometry provides balanced load distribution and supports direct, consistent control response.

All carbon fiber frame plates feature carefully machined and chamfered edges. This eliminates sharp edges and burrs, ensuring a clean and premium finish down to the smallest detail.

Modern Design and Compact Construction

The XLPower Stratos 700 combines a distinctive, sporty appearance with a construction consistently optimized for flight performance. Its modern canopy emphasizes the unique character of the model and gives the Stratos 700 its dynamic appearance.

The compact arrangement of mechanical components and centralized mass distribution contribute significantly to its precise flight characteristics. The main shaft and intermediate drive assembly have been lowered by 15 mm compared to the previous mechanical layout.

This creates a lower and more compact structure, supporting exceptionally stable, controlled and responsive flight performance.

Precision Rotor Head with True 1:1 Geometry

The Stratos 700 rotor head has been engineered for maximum precision and exceptionally direct control response. Its true 1:1 control geometry provides highly linear and predictable handling characteristics.

A key feature is the newly developed reverse-mounted ultra-short phase arm. This reversed, extremely short phase arm design delivers exceptional rigidity, stable phasing and direct rotor head control.

Especially during high-speed forward flight, abrupt stops and aggressive 3D maneuvers, pilots benefit from clean and precise control response without unwanted delays.

The included high-rigidity tapered damping system has been specifically developed for extreme 3D requirements. For pilots who prefer a softer setup for sport flying, an optional O-ring damping system with POM components is available.

Upgraded Bearing System and Redesigned Swashplate

The fully upgraded bearing system is one of the most important technical improvements of the Stratos 700.

The enlarged one-way bearing provides 50% higher torque capacity. An integrated 19 mm one-way bearing sleeve is designed for maintenance-free operation while eliminating unwanted rotational play.

This allows motor power to be transferred directly to the main rotor without noticeable delay, resulting in extremely responsive and precise power transmission.

The swashplate has also been significantly reinforced. A large 35 × 47 × 10 mm double-row angular contact bearing increases stability and precision even under heavy loads.

In addition, a PTFE-sleeved swashplate anti-rotation ball reduces friction and play. Special anti-loosening washers on the main blade bolts help prevent them from coming loose during operation.

Integrated Cable Routing for a Clean Installation

Special attention has been paid to neat and protected electronics wiring in the Stratos 700.

Specially integrated wire routing channels within the chassis allow servo and electronics cables to be installed neatly without requiring additional cable ties.

The channels are integrated directly into the frame structure and also contribute to reinforcing the upper chassis section.

The result is a tidy, professional installation with well-protected cables and a particularly premium appearance.

New Battery System with Secure Rear Insertion

The newly developed battery system of the Stratos 700 combines easy handling with particularly secure battery mounting.

The battery tray is inserted from the rear into specially designed arched guide rails. This construction securely holds the battery inside the chassis and prevents unwanted movement even during hard stops and rapid load changes.

Additional M3 through-bolts connect the upper and lower guide rails, further increasing the overall rigidity of the frame structure.

The system is compatible with existing XLPower Specter battery trays.

An optional quick-release battery connector system is available. To use this feature, the new Stratos 700 battery tray is required.

The Stratos 700 is designed for 12S LiPo batteries (2 × 6S). Recommended battery capacities range from 5000 to 6000 mAh.

Optimized Tail Servo Position and Centralized Mass Distribution

The tail servo has been positioned in the front upper section of the Stratos 700 chassis. This arrangement supports an optimized center of gravity and reduces unnecessary mass in the rear section of the helicopter.

The compact design and centralized weight distribution provide exceptionally direct control response and precise, agile flight characteristics.

At the same time, the positioning improves accessibility and supports a clean mechanical layout. Despite the highly rigid frame construction, the Stratos 700 remains easy to maintain.

New Tail Boom with Integrated Titanium Pushrod

The tail boom of the Stratos 700 has been completely redesigned. The specially profiled aluminum tail boom provides exceptional rigidity while allowing the tail pushrod to be routed internally for improved protection.

A one-piece 3 mm titanium pushrod eliminates the need for additional connecting joints. This reduces potential weak points and provides direct, precise tail control.

A special PTFE guide system reduces friction and ensures exceptionally smooth movement of the tail linkage.

In addition, the anti-rotation boom design prevents unwanted movement of the tail boom and ensures consistently accurate tail alignment.

For pilots who prefer an alternative tail boom construction, an optional carbon fiber tail boom is available.

Reinforced Tail Drive for Maximum Durability

The tail drive of the Stratos 700 features a completely redesigned structure with significantly upgraded components.

The tail shaft has a diameter of 8 mm, while the tail spindle has been increased to 6 mm.

High-quality NSK 8 × 19 × 6 mm ball bearings, together with upgraded bearings and thrust bearings, provide exceptional strength and long service life.

The reinforced belt drive has been engineered to handle high torque loads and deliver reliable power transmission.

A 9 mm wide tail belt is supplied as standard. For particularly demanding applications, an optional 10 mm heavy-duty belt version is available.

The tail drive ratio can be adjusted using the optional 25-tooth tail pulley. The standard configuration uses the 24-tooth version.

Precision Tail Control with Weighted Blade Grips

The newly developed tail rotor blade grips feature integrated balancing weights that reduce tail servo load and improve tail control efficiency.

This results in exceptionally smooth, stable and direct tail performance, even during rapid direction changes and demanding 3D maneuvers.

Another important improvement is the redesigned tail pitch linkage. The PTFE-sleeved tail pitch slider pin minimizes play, friction and wear, ensuring extremely precise pitch control.

The combination of high-quality bearings, reinforced shafts and weighted tail blade grips delivers long-lasting precision and exceptional durability.
